Before we start the tour, let us get 2 terminologies out of the way which we use on our site for convenience.

Consumer - A user who creates and subscribes to alerts for any topic of their choice like Jobs, Travel, Shopping. (Consumers can only receive information.)

Advertiser - A user who wishes to market his product or services. Advertisers can create alerts for topics like Jobs, Travel, Shopping, Events, Classifieds etc., and send it to Consumers. Note that anybody can register as an Advertiser!
